Spring! Even the word has an excited energy around it.

With the newness of fresh buds sprouting on branches, daffodils in bloom and longer days, it’s a season that signals summer has now arrived. Of course, it’s always green around here, but the colours of spring petals and new growth add a little splash. Along with the flowers, grey whales are also returning as well as community members who’ve taken a little winter hiatus in warmer climates.

It feels like there are always many reasons to celebrate being here, and this month is no exception! There’s a lot happening in Tofino, and it will be a fun and busy time. We recently celebrated a candlelit Earth Hour last week, Easter will be here shortly, and quickly following that there’s the return of ‘Feast! Tofino’, our local food festival, starting April 26, with many signature events happening May 3rd to 5th.

Spring sets the stage for the summer season to follow, but is very much a season in its own right. We hope you’re enjoying some of its wonder wherever you are, and hope you’ll consider joining in our festivities soon!
