After a busy winter with little time surfing, I'm looking forward to a summer ahead of spending more time in the water. Just in time for the smaller waves that summer brings, talented local board manufacturer Stefan Aftanas is crafting my custom longboard that will no doubt inspire me to paddle out more frequently and take advantage of the incredible ocean and vast beaches at our fingertips.

In celebration of this inspiring landscape and World Ocean's Day on June 8th, our kitchen team is engaged in preparing a special menu. This carefully designed menu will feature bull kelp, gooseneck barnacles, and sablefish, as well as other seasonal and sustainable picks. The Pointe Restaurant is pleased to invite you to join us on this special day!

In town, the beloved Shelter restaurant has reopened on the Tofino Resort and Marina waterfront. A most treasured establishment within the community, we are delighted to see them flourishing in their new space and wish them all the best as they settle into a renewed and reimagined Shelter.

May 12th marked the 69th anniversary of Relais & Châteaux. Since the Inn's inception, we have always been incredibly proud to be a part of the wonderful Relais & Châteaux family. With 545 properties spanning 68 countries and five continents, no two experiences are alike. Each holds such irreplicable and authentic elements of character, charm, calm, charm and cuisine – an inspiring ode to a unique take on hospitality.
