Wickaninnish Inn – March 9, 2018

(Tofino, BC) Tofino’s Wickaninnish Inn announces its first annual fundraiser in support of Surfrider Foundation Pacific Rim Chapter, March 9, 2018. The exclusive fifty-person fundraiser evening will be the first event hosted in the newly renovated Salal Room at the Wickaninnish Inn.

The event will include pre-dinner canapes, a 3-course seated dinner, cheese and sweets post-dinner all created by The Pointe Restaurant’s Executive Chef Warren Barr and his culinary brigade. A Silent and Live Auction with unique items such as local Tofino artist Claire Watson’s paintings, Roy Henry Vickers art piece and Atleo Air scenic flight tour will be a part of the evening.

There will also be a special entertainment from Canadian singer-songwriter Vince Vaccaro. Tickets are $150 per person with all ticket and auction proceeds donated to support Surfrider Foundation Pacific Rim initiatives. 
Surfrider Foundation Pacific Rim Chapter will have an educational station onsite to share stats and interesting visuals along with some of their many program initiatives that the raised funds will support. Such programs include: “Wetsuit Reincarnation” where wetsuits are recycled to make SUGA yoga mats and “Hold Onto Your Butt” campaign that focuses on keeping cigarette butts off our beaches with butt canisters. Chris Pallister known as the Godfather of Marine Debris will be the keynote speaker.
