With a wealth of experience and a drive for crafting unforgettable moments, Caroll-Ann has recently stepped into her new role as Special Events Manager after six years as our Lead Sommelier. Her journey at the Inn began in 2017 when she arrived for an internship with the intention of staying for one year. Between the family energy and team camaraderie she felt at the Wick and Tofino's natural, wild setting, the Montreal native fell in love with both the Inn and the town. Seven years on, she calls this special place home.

Caroll-Ann has worked in the restaurant world since the age of 15, and her interest in wine blossomed throughout her career. A curiosity sparked from an introductory wine course evolved into a deep passion, prompting her to pursue an extensive wine program at ITHQ in Montreal. Her journey brought her to various internships in Western Canada, France, and Europe, including Michelin-starred restaurants, which broadened her knowledge and shaped her commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.

One of the many facets of her role as a sommelier was connecting with guests to uncover their preferences and tailoring a wine experience specifically for them. Caroll-Ann brings this same passion for infusing a personal touch to her work in Special Events, and she is excited by the opportunity to curate unique experiences from private corporate dinners to weddings.

She is enthusiastic about continuing her growth and learning in this senior management role, where the collaborative spirit and dedication to impeccable service inspires her daily. For her, the Wick is not just a workplace, it's a close-knit family that provides her with a sense of community. Her team's collective commitment to excellence motivates her to contribute to a work environment where each day brings new opportunities for growth, development, and a chance to create a touch of magic for life's special occasions.

Beyond work, Caroll-Ann loves to share the wonders of Tofino with her husband and two children, embracing the ocean and beaches at her doorstep and finding joy in the simple, slow-paced moments that make life on the West Coast truly extraordinary.
